This course is designed to be comprehensive and prepare students for Peer Recovery Support Specialist. It will cover background knowledge, history of addiction treatment, addiction science and treatment outcomes, recovery coaching techniques, models of recovery, ethical practices and requirements, how to create recovery partnerships, assess clients, WRAP, Whole health recovery, advance directives, basic coaching skills, cultural awareness, addiction and criminal ramifications, dual diagnosis, HIV/STD, and general business practices, licensing, and employment.
Peer Recovery and Peer Mentor Coach classes are open to individuals 16+ . This course prepares you for State Licensing. Licensing fees are not included in course prices. This is a self paced course.
